The Smart-Slide is a new solution in the sliding doors/windows, which is an attractive alternative to tilt and slide type patio doors. It combines the aesthetics and functionality of lift & slide doors with a much more competitive price. What differentiates a smart-slide door from lift & slide doors is the threshold, which is lower than in the tilt and slide system and therefore more convenient for everyday use, but not completely barrier free. Additional you can requested internally mounted Z Angle which allows recessing the 55mm threshold to finished floor level on the inside resulting in a step of 13mm on the outside.
The Smart Slide design allows the door sash to run freely and not drag on the rubber. To open the door, you just need to twist the handle up. A sash will move away a bit from the frame and the sash runs free from all seals.

Smart-slide comes in fully lockable solution with internal and external handle & lock and non-lockable internal handle with external recess finger pull.
By having a handle and lock on the outside (lockable solution) of the sliding door you will lose a small amount of the opening because the door can not go back fully flush with the fixed part of the smart-slide door.
Handle colours include White, Black or Silver.
Smart-slide door can also be fitted with a “soft-close” function - the active door leaf, slowing down before the frame.
Additionally, you can have a thumb turn/knob (from the internal side) instead of a key lock.
