Our uPVC double glazed windows and doors are LOW MAINTENANCE! uPVC is water and salt resistant and thermally non-conductive so it can withstand the extremes of heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow without problems of warping, corroding, rotting, peeling, chipping or flaking, you never have to sand and paint! All you have to do is occasional wipe down your windows just with clean soft cloth & warm soapy water and every 6-12 months spray all the moving parts (locking system, gears, hinges) with lubricant to keep everything moving easily.
NOTE: Avoid all solvent based nonabrasive cleaners. Take care not to disturb silicone pointing sealants.
Glass
External grime should be removed with a solution of soap and water including laminated glass and Georgian–barred
glass.
Any household glass cleaner may be used with a soft cloth.
NOTE: The glass used in most double glazed units, is easily scratched and it is therefore recommended that hand jewellery is removed prior to cleaning.
