Description
Invisifold or Slide & Fold door is a special multi-pane sliding system with totally concealed hinges, fittings and running gear. Unlike bi-folds, there are no visible hinges and no visible hardware just a simple handle on the main door. Designs are available in different schemes with two to five sashes with a maximum size of 4.5 meters width and 2.30 meters height. Also unlike bi-fold doors, the sashes do not run on wheels, each sash slides independently on Teflon pads and low-friction tracks to locate into its fold position. Opening the sliding sashes is easily achieved by moving each sash across the opening until it locates in the landing gate that allows it to fold open. This takes minimal effort, even on large and heavy sashes weighing up to 80kg.
Unlike sliding door where only half the total area can be opened, invisifold doors open completely to one side and create large panoramic openings into outside. Available in outward opening configurations and no low threshold option.
